Team Leader

Niamh has worked in addiction treatment services for almost 20 years. Her experience has covered a wide variety of different community and voluntary sector services. Over the years, Niamh has worked with young people and adults from all walks of life to provide support and explore ways to manage challenging addictive behaviours. Niamh believes there are many different paths to recovery and it’s about finding out what works best for the individual. In 2012, Niamh gained a BSc in Psychotherapy and Counselling where she explored the area of developmental trauma. Niamh also holds an MSc in Addiction Recovery from Trinity College Dublin.
Niamh joined Ballyfermot Advance Project in June 2021 as Team Leader. She facilitates the Women’s Crack Cocaine Group and is currently developing the Ballyfermot Advance Health Initiative, aimed at supporting older people in addiction and recovery to increase positive health outcomes.
